在反应槽内顺序加入颗粒状氢氧化钾8kg、粉末状碳酸钠(苏打灰)(旭硝子株式会社制)7kg和金属硅化物30kg,再加入60l的水。在其中开始自然反应,从下层的氢氧化钾开始剧烈反应,在反应槽内从下侧向上侧发生对流。反应温度自然上升,反应温度在80~90℃的范围内时,呈活跃的反应状态。反应温度高不超过92℃。反应在10h左右结束,分离固体,可以获得约48l(约70kg)耐火液。

(3)这种耐火粘合剂性能若用耐火液涂覆木板,将涂覆的木板靠近1000~c火焰处30min不会发生燃烧。若将耐火胶黏剂混合物加压脱水至45%水分含量,在180℃下加压1h制得轻质耐火材料。
